Thick Hair Don’t Care: L’Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Hair Care
I was blessed from birth with hair that was – as my grandmother labelled it – ‘almost as thick as you are‘. It was my pride and joy except on the days the weather got the best of me in the battle with frizz.
A few years ago though, my thick head of hair started to thin out. Whether it was stress, lack of care or just because I was getting old, my hairbrush was littered with numerous strands every time I brushed my hair. It was getting more and more noticeable, and action had to be taken. I tried everything. A shampoo designed to make your hair stay true to its young roots (excuse the pun). A BB creme to keep your hair young, thick and shiny. Thickening leave-in conditioner. Nothing worked.
Until recently, I had given up all hope and resigned myself to my new state of hair crises. Then the miracle arrived.
Upon first seeing the ads for L’Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Hair Care, I was a little sceptical. I’ve tried every haircare treatment going and let me tell you, the one that promised to tame my wiry natural curls did nothing for me. This range – in its transparent turquoise bottles – claimed it would restore the look of thickness after just one wash and with repeated use, your hair would even feel thicker.
The sciencey bit is the use of a chemical that binds to the hair strands and expands it, increasing the diameter of each strand of hair. These stay in your hair for the long term and over time, make your hair look as thick and voluminous as it once was.
Converted by a free sample in a magazine, I haven’t looked back since. There’s been a noticeable difference in how thick my hair is and that’s only after a week of using the shampoo and conditioner regularly, with one use of the leave-in (put in your hair pre-conditioner without rinsing it off) Fibrology Thickness Booster.
The entire range is currently half price in Boots, so get it before it’s gone – it’s worth it!
