5 Secret Beauty Tips That Really Work
I’M sharing five beauty secrets that I’ve learned over the years. The best thing about these tips is that you don’t have to go out and spend loads of money and you can do it all at home! Give these beauty tips a try and let us know what you think!
Wash Your Hair…Really Well
You know when you look in the mirror and you just hate your hair? You feel like you need a haircut or just ‘something’ to revitalise it? Well, the number one way to make your hair gorgeous, shiny and voluminous is to get it really clean! Hair with product build-up can look dull and/or greasy, even after you wash it! Clarifying treatments and shampoos are a great way to remove product build up but there’s something else you can do too. Use your regular shampoo and just keep it in your hair for longer than usual! Leave it in and let it really get to work and do its job – your hair will be super clean. I like to shampoo it, hop into the tub for a soak and rinse it after!
Wash Your Face For a Full Minute
Have you ever washed your makeup off and then seen makeup on your towel afterwards? I’ll admit it, I know I have! Well this little tip is a beautician’s secret (shh): wash your face for a full minute, count to 60 and make sure you wash every little bit – you honestly will start to see and feel such a difference!
Invest in the World’s Most Amazing Beauty Product…(It’s not what you think!)
Baking soda is so good for so many things when it comes to beauty. It’s literally a miracle product and you should definitely get some and try a couple of these tips. You can use it to whiten your nails (when they go yellow after using reds and deep nail colours). You can also use it as an anti-acne brightening face wash, as an all over exfoliator or to whiten your teeth! The list is endless! I like to apply it with a little water to the face for a ‘microdermabrasion’ effect. If you have acne, add a little bit of honey to it to make it less abrasive on the skin – you’ll still get all that antibacterial goodness from it and honey is a natural anti-inflammatory so you won’t be all red!
Vaseline is Your Best Friend
Keep a tub next to your bed so you remember to use it last thing at night. Rub it into your cuticles, lips, knuckles and any other stubborn dry areas before going to sleep. You’ll wake up in the morning with amazingly soft skin and your nails will be in great condition too! Vaseline can also be used with a toothbrush as a lip exfoliator, and as eye makeup remover when you’re stuck!
Use Conditioner for Shaving
Save yourself a little bit of money and stop buying shaving foam. Just use conditioner instead, it creates the barrier needed to stop nicks and cuts but it’s also moisturising! Added bonus (this is my favourite part) it can smell as yummy as you like because there’s a lot more to choose from with conditioners!
